Senior Product Designer
2019
In 2019, I returned to Colombia and started working for zemoga, now a Media.monks company, specifically for one of our clients that we currently have, and I'm now the Design Director for all the projects. For this account, I started as a Senior Product Designer. This specific account is the one that has allowed me to grow in my career path, initially as a Design Lead for the program with PlayStation and a couple of years later as a Manager.
A year of remote work and virtual collaboration
2020
We’ve all been there: asked to bring or contribute ideas to a brainstorming session, but coming up totally blank. Working remotely, these sessions have gotten even worse, with stilted silence between a sea of terrified faces all staring straight at each other.
At Zemoga, we have learned that we can train our brains and creativity muscles to help us face—with confidence—the next occasion when we are asked to come up with ideas.
Over the years, our team has had several meetings or situations where we need to ideate to solve a problem with an existing product or to reframe a challenge and define the best way to approach it. And almost every week (sometimes twice or three times a week), we have to get into divergent thinking to help us generate as many ideas as we can.
Lead Designer
2021
As a Lead Designer, I worked on projects doing research, interaction design, and user experience.
I also worked developing internal projects and support designing proposals, pitching, and selling new projects. I also mentored designers and helped them set and achieve career goals.
Design Manager
2022
As a Design Manager:
- I manage, mentor, and guide a team of UX/UI design and product designers, providing design direction and pushing the high quality of our design work.
- I establish and promote a healthy team culture that works hand in hand with cross-functional partners, other disciplines, and our design team.
- I support our growth in hiring and coaching new team members.
As a Strategist and Product Manager:
- I build links with other business areas at all levels of the organization, influencing business decisions and advocating for user-centered and product design.
- I find ways to make things work for the client, stakeholders, end-users, and the business goals.
- I work seamlessly with teams across a variety of software development processes, taking into account: UX/UI best practices, user-centered design process and techniques, and translating research insights to design strategy.

2023
I have a group of designers for three main accounts in zemoga, PlayStation, Walmart, and Morningstar. I also support the relationship for small clients in the US, that is, in the hospitality industry, Great Wolf Lodge.
As part of my role, I manage a team of design managers, leads, and senior designers who oversee the day-to-day operations of our accounts. I'm also actively involved in client relationships, often leading conversations with peers on the client side for the kick-off of new projects or initiatives. I'm part of the squad that helps our clients understand their needs and requirements when they have a new project, and I'm a strong advocate for Discovery projects and early conversations in the design process. This often involves traveling to on-site meetings with clients, running discovery workshops, or co-creation activities with stakeholders on the client side.
2024
In Colombia, I've led several thought leadership initiatives in our design team, significantly growing our presence in Latam. While 70% of our designers are based here in Colombia, we also have around 25 designers working from other countries in LATAM, such as Peru, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Argentina. Alongside our Design Ops Coordinator, I lead initiatives within our discipline. For instance, we have an initiative to document and create templates we use for our Design process, called Elemental, and another one about Workshopping & Facilitation Skills, called Sandbox. These initiatives have helped us shaping our team's approach and enhancing our design capabilities.
